Flight helmet decorated with 'Cherry Boy' in carrying bag

This is the flight helmet that Dick Detra used during the Vietnam war. His nickname was "Cherry Boy". His tour of duty was 10 June 1967 - 10 June 1968.

4-101st Aviation Regiment Operation Iraqi Freedom 2005 - 2006 woven blanket

Woven blanket that includes images of the unit patches. There is a blue border around the entire blanket. At the top of the border there is the text “4-101st Aviation Regiment” in white with a red border. On the bottom of the blanket in the border there is the text “159th Aviation Brigade” in white with red border. There are also eight white stars with red border on each side of the center area in the blue border. In the center of the blanket are the unit insignia surrounding the 101st Airborne Aviation Regiment crest. The unit patches of the 4-101 Aviation Regiment. Unit insignia includes Headquarters and Headquarters Company 4-101, A Company 4-101 Comancheros, B Company 4-101 Kingsmen, C Company 4-101 Black Widows, D Company 4-101 Desperados, B Company 2-147th Renegades, Forward Support Company 4-101 Workhorses and 159th Aviation Pathfinder 4-101. These are surrounding an image of the 101st Aviation Regiment unit crest. There is also an image of Iraq, Air Assault Wings and an American flag on the bottom left. There is also an image of the 101st Airborne unit patch on the bottom right. The blanket measures approximately 69.25 x 49 inches. There is also a 2 inch fringe around the entire blanket.

Old Spiders A Company 4/3 AVN Challenge Coin

The 1st "Spiders" Challenge coin. Coin is oval in shape with a gold border around the entire coin. The front of the coin has text "Spiders" in gold on a black background at the top. Beneath that is an image of a spider over a helicopter on a red background. To the left is the text "Alpha" in black with a gold outline. To the right is the text "4/3 AVN" in black with gold outline. Beneath the spider and helicopter image is a white spider web outlined with gold. On the web is a blue scroll across the bottom of the coin. The scroll has the text "188th AHC EST 1968" in gold. The back of the coin is black. On the top is the text “Spider for life” in gold. Beneath that is the image of a spider with the text “Guns” on the left and “Up” on the right. Beneath the image of the spider are images of unit patches. On the left is an image of the 101st Airborne unit patch. The center is an image of the unit patch of the 1st Aviation Brigade. To the right is the insignia of 4th Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment. Beneath the unit insignias is a gold bar. Beneath the gold bar to the left is the insignia of the rank of Captain with the text “Spider 06” To the right is insignia of the rank of First Sergeant with the text “Spider 07” beneath. Below that is the text “Coin of Excellence” which follows the bottom of the coin. Coin measures approximately 2 x 1 3/8 x 1/8 inches.

Current Spiders A Company 4/3 AVN Challenge Coin

Current challenge coin for “Spiders”. Coin is shaped like a coffin. Front is black with gold text and images. The text “Spiders” is at the top. Beneath that is an image of a spider on a web. Beneath the spider is the text “Alpha 4-3AHB 188th AHC Est 1968”. The back of the coin is black and has an image of the insignia of the rank of Captain on the top left. There is an image of a spider at the center of the top. To the right at the top is an image of the insignia of the rank of First Sergeant. Beneath these images are the text “Spiders for life”. Beneath that text is an image of a UH-60 “Blackhawk”. To the left and right of the image of the helicopter are different versions of the “Spiders” unit patches over history. Beneath the image of the helicopter is an image of the unit insignia for the 1st Aviation Brigade with an image of the insignia for the 4th Battalion 3rd Aviation Regiment “Marne Assault” to the right. Beneath the unit insignias is the text “Guns Up”. Beneath the text are current unit patches for the “Spiders” to the left and right. Beneath that is an image of a spider on a web. Coin measures approximately 2 x 1 3/8 x 1/8 inches.
