General Note / OCR

Embroidered Thai silk kept in a box labeled Tran Vai Lua. The blue silk is taped to and framed by white matting paper. The textile measures 14 1/4 inches in length by 14 3/8 inches in width. The image depicted is of two figures locked in combat by the edge of a cliff, which varies from blue to red to green to white in color. The green figure, with gold and red markings on its face and ears, is lunging forward, right leg raised and bent, foot coming down on its opponent's knee; and left leg back and poised mid air on the ball of its foot. Its right arm is stretched out, hand gripping the blade of its enemy's dagger; and its left arm is raised and bent at the elbow, hand gripping a purple and gold bow. The white figure is down on one knee and is facing its enemy. It has green circular marking on its body, and gold and red markings on its face. Its left hand is raised and bent at the elbow, hand holding a three pronged dagger; its right arm is raised, hand on its advesary's throat.
