Audio CD contains Congressman Phillip M. Crane's interview with Dolf Droge in which Droge gives his views on the Vietnam War from the perspective he developed working on Vietnamese affairs from 1954-1985, primarily with the National Security Council and the United States Information Agency. The collection also contains copies of correspondence from dignitaries such as Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger.

This collection consists of digital photograph files on CD-Rom that document Nevin Roger Williams's service in the U.S. Army. The CD contains images of Cu Chi and Saigon, 1967; 18th Military Police Brigade, 1967-1968; and the MACV Advisory Team 45 in Ninh Thuan Province, 1970-1971. The collection also contains books and issues of Vietnam Magazine, 1988-2003.

Approximately 52 linear feet of documents collected by Larry Berman from Presidential archives, including the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library, and the National Archives document various aspects of Presidential and United States' policies during the Vietnam Conflict. Documents have a date range of 1954-1995, with the bulk of the documents originating from the war era (1954-1975). Documents of note include materials on White House staff files, campaigns and elections, cabinet meeting notes, government telegrams and letters, and newspaper indexes on public opinion, South Vietnam, Cambodia for 1968 - 1975. All documents were used by Larry Berman in the research for his books.

Materials date from both the war and post-war periods and include an essay by James Webb that compares World War II and Vietnam generations, titled 'The American Enterprise', 2002. Cultural materials, including various films, plays, and novels are also included in the collection and include The Big Chill; Good Morning, Vietnam; the Rambo films; Flatliners and many others. Most of the materials are in fair to good condition.

The collection is divided into five categories: Administrative Files, Individual Files, Life Time Service Award, Conferences and General Files. The Administrative Files section contains general file titles arranged alphabetically on subjects directly related to the Vietnam Veteran Institute. The Individual Files section contains material produced by various individuals associated with the Vietnam Veterans Institute. The Life Time Service Award section concerns the Vietnam Veterans Institute and Paralyzed Veterans of America Award for Life Service to Veterans. The Conferences section contains material on the several conferences sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans Institute and the General Files section is a compilation of material collected by the Vietnam Veterans Institute not directly related to the organization. Almost all of the materials date from the post-war period.

This series is 7.5 linear feet. This series deals with articles both by and about Admiral Zumwalt. Some articles express Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Zumwalt's repeated warnings that the Soviet Navy had surpassed the United State Navy in combatant capabilities. Further, several articles address Admiral Zumwalt's statements concerning the Australian, New Zealand, and United States Treaty (ANZUS). Articles after Admiral Zumwalt's retirement and his unsuccessful bid for the Senate seat from Virginia, demonstrate his criticism of trends he saw in Defense procurement, especially the tendency toward increasingly large and sophisticated, and more expensive, weapons platforms. There are also articles about his family, especially Mouza's efforts during the campaign. Articles in this series also refer to Lt. Col. Zumwalt (Admiral Zumwalt's father) including a couple of letters from the European Theater in 1945.

The general correspondence series is one of the largest in Admiral Zumwalt's collection with approximately 18 linear feet of material. This series contains various formats, including type written letters, faxes, memorandums, thank you cards, and phone messages. The majority of correspondence is to and from Admiral Zumwalt. The correspondence covers a wide array of subjects, such as friends, family, member organizations, military personnel, government officials, educational institutions, various associations, and some cities in the United States. Further, some of the correspondence is divided alphabetically. Several pieces of correspondence have related articles from newspapers and periodicals.
