Much of the book covers the history of the province prior to 1972 when it was conquered by the North Vietnamese during the Easter Offensive. Selected excerpts from James P. Coan's unpublished manuscript, ^UCon Thien: The Hill of Angels , with introduction by James Coan. ^UThe Battle for Con Thien submitted by James P. Coan with recommended books for further study of the subject, photographs of Lt. Less than one linear foot of 14 reel-to-reel audiotapes, one book, one manuscript, and nine volumes of the Ethnographic Study Series: Selected Groups in the Republic of Vietnam document various ethnic groups in the Republic of Vietnam and Dr. John Campbell's tour of duty as a Psychological Operations Advisor to five different provinces of the Republic of Vietnam. The manuscript, entitled 'Are we Winning? Are They Winning? A Civilian Advisor's Reflections on Wartime Vietnam' was written by Campbell in 2002. The audio tapes are from the Vietnam Conflict-era and contain 'easy listening' music and Psychological Warfare messages.
