This is the largest collection of the Coâng Baùo that contains the laws and acts passed by the government. This edition does not have a French translation for the most part and is written in Vietnamese. However, earlier editions may have some French translations but are few in numbers. The collection is a source that contains the official records of acts and decrees. The collection also contains certain editions that have statistical data on economy, finance, industry, trading, etc. Included in this collection with each edition are official public notices of promotions and advancements of individuals within the military and civilian population that may be of use. The date range is 1948-1975. Each Years Table of Contents is located in boxes 1-9. Boxes 10-75 contain the actual official records and are usually dated weekly.

Evans collection. The Frank E. Evans was a USN Destroyer that collided with the Australian Carrier Melbourne 3 June 1969.

Less than one linear foot of 14 reel-to-reel audiotapes, one book, one manuscript, and nine volumes of the Ethnographic Study Series: Selected Groups in the Republic of Vietnam document various ethnic groups in the Republic of Vietnam and Dr. John Campbell's tour of duty as a Psychological Operations Advisor to five different provinces of the Republic of Vietnam. The manuscript, entitled 'Are we Winning? Are They Winning? A Civilian Advisor's Reflections on Wartime Vietnam' was written by Campbell in 2002. The audio tapes are from the Vietnam Conflict-era and contain 'easy listening' music and Psychological Warfare messages.

Project CHECO was begun in 1962 under the direction of the Air Force chief of staff to compile, document, analyze, and report on a timely basis the new tactics, forces, techniques, materials and methods being employed by the Air Force in Southeast Asia. The collection consists of 232 reports covering all major Air Force Operations during the Vietnam Conflict. These reports were produced from documentation at hand during the war and were the primary documents employed by the Air Force to evaluate its effectiveness in Vietnam. Please note that the Vietnam Archive owns one complete set of the microfilm for this collection (DS557.4 .C67) located in the basement of the Main Library.

Eight linear feet of declassified documents of the United States Central Intelligence Agency document the Vietnam War, Vietnam, and Southeast Asia. The date range is from 1959 to 1987 (bulk 1962-1973). They contain situation reports of South Vietnam and Laos, (some monthly, others weekly); intelligence reports on North Vietnam or on special topics such as air capability; memoranda and other communications regarding POW sightings and identification; and miscellaneous reports on other topics. Some of the documents have been 'sanitized.'

The Conferences Collection includes materials related to two conferences on the Vietnam War: On Winning and Losing: A Reexamination of the Summers Thesis and the Vietnam War, Texas Tech University, March 31-April 1, 1995; Conference for High School Teachers, Texas Tech University, June 11-13, 1998; It also includes information on an event: Parade '98: Vietnam Remembered, Wellington, New Zealand, May 29-June 1, 1998, and the Vietnam War Symposium at the University of Houston, November 12-13, 1999. The materials for the On Winning and Losing conference consist of papers delivered at a roundtable discussion. Those for the Conference for High School Teachers consist of items handed out to the participants, and those for the Parade '98 event consist of sections of New Zealand newspapers with articles on the event. The materials make up approximately one half linear foot and are in good condition.

The manuscript is post-war era and include notable topics, such as: Campbell's role within his unit, the drug detection program, Vietnamization, and two cartoons depicting the humorous side of the many urine screenings that the 90th Replacement Battalion conducted while in Vietnam.

Over four linear feet of documents, books, photographs, slides, maps, posters, museum objects, moving images, audio, newsletters and periodicals document the service of Calvin Chapman as a medical doctor during his tour-of-duty in Vietnam. The collection is divided into major sections including: personal papers, Chapman Medical Classes, General Subject Files, Humanitarian Aid in Vietnam, Medical Aid in Vietnam, Military Files, Printed Materials, and Newspaper Clippings. The bulk of the collection, including documents and separated materials, are from the Vietnam Conflict era and provide insight into the medical conditions of the Vietnamese and U.S. military personnel, as well as the role of the American solider in his efforts toward humanitarian aid to Vietnam. The collection is in good condition.

The William Colby Collection consists of material collected by Mr. Colby during his tenure in Vietnam as a member of the US embassy and of CORDS (Civil Operations and Revolutionary Development Support) and after his duty as Director of the CIA. This is a period from approximately 1960 to 1972 that resumes again in the mid-1980s to the early 1990s. The material generally reflects Mr. Colby's responsibilities in Vietnam, American policy and the pacification programs. Therefore, the collection is divided into 7 sections; American Foreign Policy consists of various papers and publications by individuals and companies. The Communists includes FBIS (Foreign Broadcasting Information Service) reports and bound materials concerned with the North Vietnamese and their guerilla allies in South Vietnam. Covert Operations primarily contains articles and papers on the CIA. Insurgency, Counter-Insurgency and the Phoenix program discusses the US suppression of guerilla forces through papers and documents published by government ‘think tanks’. Pacification, a program with which Mr. Colby was highly involved, consists mainly of government documents and pamphlets as well as drafts of articles written by Mr. Colby. “Vietnamization” is a small section composed of articles, papers and a few government documents. The General files may also prove informative as it includes a wide range of topics from Vietnamese culture to relief programs.
In July 1999, the Honorable Sally A. Shelton-Colby donated an additional two boxes of material to the Archive and have been added as Box 6 and 7 to the collection.

The first article is from the 12 November 1995 edition of The Sunday Review from Towanda, Pennsylvania and is about Gene Wilber, who flew an F-4 in Vietnam and became a Prisoner-of-War in June 1968 after his F-4 was shot down. The second article is from the 26 May 2002 edition of The Sunday Review and is about Raymond Paul McMahon from Dushore, Pennsylvania and was killed on 4 June 1970 while serving with the United States Army in Vietnam.
