The monographs are complete publications. They are divided by categories and are useful sources.

Less than one linear foot of audio-cassettes and reel-to-reel tapes document information about the Vietnam War, 1960s counter-culture, the peace and anti-war movements, the Black Panther Party, and general social concerns of the era. All of the cassette tapes listed were recorded from reel-to-reel tape masters, which were originally recorded in the early 1970s. Mildred Barrentine donated the collection on behalf of her father, J.C. Gathings.

Two linear feet of Uncorrelated Information Relating to Missing Americans in Southeast Asia donated to the Vietnam Archive by Wayne Jefferson contains information possibly relating to missing Americans in Southeast Asia. They constitute the documentation in this category held by the Department of Defense, the Department of State, and the Central Intelligence Agency as of 1 July 1978. This material is of varying reliability and even after intensive analysis could not be associated with specific Americans who were lost in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam Conflict.

Manuscripts include 'Dropping the Flag: An Inside View DPMO' by CDR Chip Beck, USNR (ret.) and a manuscript by Rob Blurton (Marine Corps). Other materials of note are newsletters from the National Veterans POW Strike Force, information on casualties, stolen Hanoi photographs of POW/MIAs and a study on United States policy toward the POW/MIA issue. All materials date from the post-war era.
