Approximately half of a linear foot of documents, slides, museum objects, a newspaper, and a map donated to the archive by Stephen Barnes Eberly's sister Donna Jordan. The materials are all from Stephen Eberly's service in Vietnam from November 1967 through November 1968 with the 61st Assault Helicopter Company. The collection includes letters written by Eberly to his parents, slides taken by him while in Vietnam, the Pentax camera he used to take the slides, and medals awarded to Eberly for his service.

Less than a quarter of a linear foot of slides, photographs, and documents donated to the archive by William "Bill" James. The slides were taken by James during his service in Vietnam from October 1962 through July 1963 and depict military life, city scenes, and aerial landscapes.

The documents are a copy of James' military record documenting his career, training, awards, and flight logs. The collection also contains 1 photograph, 5 negatives and 276 slides from his 1962-1963 service in country.

Less than one linear foot of audio-cassettes and reel-to-reel tapes document information about the Vietnam War, 1960s counter-culture, the peace and anti-war movements, the Black Panther Party, and general social concerns of the era. All of the cassette tapes listed were recorded from reel-to-reel tape masters, which were originally recorded in the early 1970s. Mildred Barrentine donated the collection on behalf of her father, J.C. Gathings.

The first three folders of the collection are chapters 17-39 of the Joint Chiefs of Staff History of the Vietnam War, 1960-1968 (from July 1970). The last folder is a CINCPAC study of Soviet-Vietnamese relations from 1980 titled, "Strategic Implications of Soviet Expansion in Southeast Asia."

Two linear feet of Uncorrelated Information Relating to Missing Americans in Southeast Asia donated to the Vietnam Archive by Wayne Jefferson contains information possibly relating to missing Americans in Southeast Asia. They constitute the documentation in this category held by the Department of Defense, the Department of State, and the Central Intelligence Agency as of 1 July 1978. This material is of varying reliability and even after intensive analysis could not be associated with specific Americans who were lost in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam Conflict.

Approximately one and a half linear feet of newsletters, periodicals, manuscripts, documents, newspapers articles and a study document Joe Jordan's involvement in the POW issue and his organization, the National Veterans POW Strike Force. Manuscripts include 'Dropping the Flag: An Inside View DPMO' by CDR Chip Beck, USNR (ret.) and a manuscript by Rob Blurton (Marine Corps). Other materials of note are newsletters from the National Veterans POW Strike Force, information on casualties, stolen Hanoi photographs of POW/MIAs and a study on United States policy toward the POW/MIA issue. All materials date from the post-war era.
