Approximately two and a half linear feet of artifacts from Steve Sullivan's tour in Vietnam from 1967-1968 where he flew UH1-C gunships with the 57th Assault Helicopter Company in Kom Tum. The collection contains a flight suit, fatigue pants, four patches, military issue towel, compass case, sunglasses, decorated helicopter flight helmet and carrying bag, an MB-4A Computer Air Navigation tool and plasticized DOD evasion chart of Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam. The collection also contains a US Army pack sack, black hammock, black shirt, and canteen with a bullet hole, which were taken from North Vietnamese soldiers who attacked the base while Sullivan was there.

Approximately one and a half linear feet of legal documents pertain to the case of Maliszewska v. USA Civil Action #A74-1526 where Benjamin Stanczyk represented the widow of those sailors killed in the bombing of a Polish ship on 20 December 1972 as a result of the United States' mining of Haiphong Harbor. The incident resulted in the deaths of four Polish sailors and permanent injuries for twenty-four others. Stanczyk still remained involved with trying to gain compensation for the widows at the time of the donation of this collection to the Vietnam Archive in 2009.

The collection consists of approximately one linear foot of materials including an audio tape, periodicals, newsletters, photographs, and documents detailing general information about the Vietnam Women Veterans Association. These materials include informational pamphlets and booklets from the war period and were received by the Vietnam Archive at the Vietnam Women Veterans Association reunion in San Antonio, Texas in 2001. The photographs were taken while Claire Starnes was on the staff of the publication titled MACV Observer, 1969-1971 (U.S. Military Assistance Command Vietnam, Saigon, Republic of Vietnam). The photographs were ones that the publication decided not to use, and nclude photographs of a school bombing that took place near Tay Ninh in 1970. The bulk of the materials date from 1969-1971. Also included are 4 oversized photographs (no dates) depicting female soldiers performing various activities.

Many of the audio tapes contain Anne Scahill's explanations of her slide collections, the item numbers of which will be displayed at the end of the slide explanations in the Separated Materials section of this finding aid. Transcripts of some of the audio tapes are also available in the Inventory section. The audio tapes and transcriptions date from both the war and post-war periods, while the artifacts and slides all date from only the war era. The materials are in fair to good shape.

Reports were compiled by Don Smith and include After Action Reports, Daily Staff Journals, and various others and include the following divisions: 1st Cavalry Division, 23rd Infantry Division, 25th Infantry Division, 101st Airborne Division, and the 199th Light Infantry Brigade (199th LIB). One CD-ROM of 1:50,000 maps of wartime areas in Vietnam such as Saigon, Bien Hoa, and Quang Ngai.
