The collection consists of twenty audio reel tapes created by Scott Clark from July 1966 to August 1967 that document his service with the 1st Cavalry Division, 2/20 ARA (Aerial Rocket Artillery) as a combat pilot and section leader for UH-1 Hueys mounted with 48 folding-fin rockets. Clark mounted a tape recorder in the cockpit to record all radios and crew voices. The collection includes cockpit recordings during combat and audio letters between Clark and his family.

Approximately two linear feet of mostly personnel and organizational records document the activities of the Army Concept Team in Vietnam (ACTIV) primarily from 1969-1971 and its research laboratory in Aberdeen, Maryland known as the Land Warfare Laboratory (LWL) from 1961-1974. This was the army's quick-reaction research and development group. The LWL records are the only copy remaining of the complete work-product of LWL from its inception in about 1961 through its closure in 1974. The legacy of LWL/ACTIV is still apparent today. A very small group was responsible for the initial ^D'invention^D>' of bomb-sniffing dogs, sophisticated electronics, simple chemical devices like light-sticks, and a host of other quick solutions to field problems. They were purposely exempted from standard R & D research rules, and were, therefore, unencumbered by bureaucracy, budget constraints, rigid organizational turf battles, and procurement policies. LWL/ACTIV was staffed by no more than 144 individuals who were brilliant scientists, and support personnel such as metallurgists, model makers, and researchers among others.

The collection consists of 2.25 linear feet of military documents donated by the 3/5 Cavalry Black Knight's Association. The collection contains Operation Reports-Lessons Learned, Command Chronologies, order of battle information, senior officer debriefing reports, After Action Reports, histories of specific battles, Daily Staff Journals, Rosters, and Morning Reports. The materials pertain to the 3rd Battalion 5th Cavalry Black Knights’ service in Vietnam, as well as the service of other units including the 9th Infantry Division, 34th Engineer Group, 54th Artillery Group, 1st Cavalry, II Field Force Vietnam, 1st Air Cavalry, 101st Airborne, 1st Infantry Division, 5th Infantry Division, and 3rd Marine Division. The materials also pertain to operations taking place from 1967 through 1970 including Operations Kien Giang, Santa Fe, Akron, Rock, Houston, Worth, Tampa, Coronado, Greene River, and Task Force Kilo Phase I. The materials predominately date from 1966 through 1974.

Less than one linear foot of 14 reel-to-reel audiotapes, one book, one manuscript, and nine volumes of the Ethnographic Study Series: Selected Groups in the Republic of Vietnam document various ethnic groups in the Republic of Vietnam and Dr. John Campbell's tour of duty as a Psychological Operations Advisor to five different provinces of the Republic of Vietnam. The manuscript, entitled 'Are we Winning? Are They Winning? A Civilian Advisor's Reflections on Wartime Vietnam' was written by Campbell in 2002. The audio tapes are from the Vietnam Conflict-era and contain 'easy listening' music and Psychological Warfare messages.

Circa 1960s-1970s drawings and paintings created by Vietnamese children, ranging in ages 6-10, in watercolor, crayon, pen, and other media, submitted to a Saigon television station's annual art contest sponsored by Mr. Le Van Khoa with The Gioi Cua Tre Em! (World of Children!) television program. Most of the artworks have a small photograph of the child artist attached to them. The images depict festivals, legends, fairytales, heroes, animals, landscapes, villages, familial love, the devastation and trauma of war, as well as western literature and pop culture. The drawings and paintings were donated to The Committee of Responsibility to raise funds for medical aid to children injured in the Vietnam War. Three of the child artists were receiving treatment in Boston hospitals at the time the artworks were exhibited. The Committee used the pictures at a fund raiser in Long Island. These artworks have been exhibited in St. Louis, Houston, Boston, and other cities.
