Approximately two linear feet of audio tapes, video tapes, DVDs, newsletters and periodicals, photographs, stickers, internet printouts, newspaper clippings and articles, correspondence, administrative documents, transcripts, statements for H.R. 3293, and other documents and reports detail the Vietnam War In Memory Memorial, a grassroots project dedicated to placing a commemorative plaque at the National Vietnam Veterans Memorial honoring veterans who died after the war as a result of their service, including those who developed cancer due to Agent Orange exposure, suicide due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and various other maladies. The correspondence section is broken up into the following sections: Vietnam War In Memory Memorial, Inc., Congressional (1955-1999), Commission of Fine Arts (1995-1996), Fallen Warriors Foundation, and correspondence with Admiral Elmo R. Zumwalt, Jr. and actor Gary Sinise. Most materials are in good condition.

Correspondence, military orders and citations and CD ROMs document Neal Fagan's service in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. Correspondence includes letters written to and from Fagan while in Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Advance Individual Training and Officer Candidate School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma and while serving in Vietnam from June 1969-June 1970. Three CD ROMs contain digitized photographs and documents depicting Neal Fagan's tour-of-duty in Vietnam including images of Fagan's arrival in Vietnam and his assignments in the Central Highlands, including An Khe, Pleiku, Dak-To, and Ben Het. The collection consists of scrapbooks and slides donated to the archive by Tim Fortner. The scrapbooks document Fortner’s service in the Marines from his boot camp graduation in 1967 through his discharge in 1970. The scrapbooks include extensive photographs of Fortner’s service in Vietnam, including his time with HMM-262 at Ai Tu Marine Air Base (aka, Quang Tri Combat Base) from 1968 to 1969. Also included in the scrapbooks are newspaper clippings of various stories about Fortner or his unit, citations and documents for medals and promotions, and certificates of completion for various training courses Fortner completed during his military service.

Included are press releases and supporting documents covering a battle for patrol base Diamond III and patrol base Frontier city, photocopies of photos of Trang Sup Special Forces Camp in the fall of 1968, and stories written by Fulton recounting his experiences during his service as a writer for the 7th Air Force Directorate of Information Combat News Branch housed at Tan Son Nhut Air Base from October 1, 1967 to September 1, 1969. Also included in the collection is a painting by Fulton depicting an AC-47 gunship dropping flares and firing its weapons.
