[Number of Pages: 1]Daryl Cagle discusses his two tours in Vietnam as an Army fixed-wing pilot. During his first tour, Cagle served as an L-19 pilot with the 114th Combat Aviation Company from May through August 1965, and then with the 221st Fixed Wing Aviation Company from August 1965 through April 1966. Cagle returned for a second tour, July 1968 through July 1969, this time as a U-21 pilot with the 201st Aviation Company. He also served as commander of Headquarters Detachment of the 52nd Aviation Battalion for six months of his second tour.

Lamb served as an AC-47 gunship pilot with the 3rd Special Operations Squadron during his first tour, 1968-1969, and as an A-37 pilot with the 604th and 8th Special Operations Squadrons during his second tour, 1970-1971. Lamb also flew missions over Laos in his first tour, and over Cambodia in his second tour. He also participated in Lam Son 719.

[Number of Pages: 1]In this interview, former U.S. Ambassador David Lambertson discusses his long and distinguished career in the U.S. Department of State, including his time in the Political Section of the U.S. Embassy in Saigon, 1965-1968. Lambertson also served in Indonesia, 1969-1971, and served as a member of the U.S. delegation to the Paris Peace Talks, 1971-1973. He later served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Southeast Asia, 1987-1990, and was involved in POW/MIA issues with the government of Vietnam. Lambertson served as U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, 1991-1995.

Interview with Bac Eaton

[Number of Pages: 37]Bac Thi Pham Eaton was born on June 18, 1953, in Bai Cham, An Long, Vietnam. Her family suffered heavy losses and was politically divided during the Vietnam War. As a young woman working in a sick bay for the U.S. Navy, she met and learned English from her husband, Sam Eaton. In 1975 Bac and Sam, along with their two small children moved to Los Angeles, CA. Bac became a U.S. citizen in 1980. In 1981 the Eatons moved their family to Krum, Texas, where Bac grew and sold produce while caring for their growing family. Bac and Sam eventually went into the diamond business. The Eatons now split their time between Denton, TX, and Lien Houng, Vietnam. In Lien Houng Bac enjoys her fish farm and raising fruit trees, and spending time with and employing family members whom she had been separated from for nearly twenty years. Sam and Bac both suffer effects from exposure to Agent Orange.

Austin joined the U.S. Army in 1943 and then the U.S. Air Force where he served as a pilot extensively throughout the Cold War. Austin participated in the Berlin Airlift, worked with Strategic Air Command, and commanded Utapao Air Base in Thailand, 1974-1975.
