New Years Eve, 2 T34 tanks hit M19 mines placed in Sam Thong-Lon Tieng road by Thai's at almost same point where action in previous pictures took place. 2 tanks following could not pass and returned from where they came. United States Air Force Spectre gunship orbited tanks all night without firing a shot due to 'rules of engagement.'
