The Vietnam War: Early Advisors, Special Forces, and the 1st Division in Combat
Moving Image Item Number: 998VI1312
In 1964, a small group of U.S. Advisors was all that stood between the Vietnamese Army and the Viet Cong. See their story as they fought and died in the rice paddies of Vietnam. U.S. Special forces took over from the early advisory teams and started to work in the Central Highlands with the Montagnard strike teams. See how they were trained to fight and die on night patrols, battle the enemy in ambush, and protect their villages. The watch as for almost 5 years the famous First Division fights in Vietnam in one major campaign after another, from the Delta to War Zone D to the 1968 Tet Offensive, till final withdrawal in 1970. Great combat action as it really happened.
