Long range patrolling in 1st Marine Division TAOR ; 2nd Platoon, Co. A, 5th Recon Battalion detached from 1st Force Recon Co. (21 September) ; 1st Platoon, Co. A, 5th Recon Battalion detached from 1st Force Recon Co. (22 September) ; 5th Platoon secured a helicopter landing zone (AT949345) and provided terminal guidance for Co. K, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment and Battery H, 3rd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment (30 September).
