Support 1st Marine Division in reconnaissance operations ; 1st Squad, 6th Platoon secured helicopter landing zone (AT970388) and provided initial terminal guidance for 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment (1 October) ; 1st Platoon, Co. A, and 3rd Platoon, Co. A, 5th Recon Battalion dropped from operation control of 1st Recon Battalion (28 October).
