General Note
Colonel Robert Hall used photographs of Army, Navy and Air Force medical personnel and activities taken during the Korean war to describe and illustrate the treatment and evacuation of a wounded soldier or marine from the time he was wounded and treated by an aidman or corpsman, through each successively higher echelon until he was evacuated to the continental United States if necessary. It also illustrates the new roles assumed by the Navy and Air Force medical services, and stresses principles of wound surgery and others frequently forgotten.
