General Note
In this interview Rufus Phillips discusses his experiences in Vietnam as a U.S. Army advisor to the South Vietnamese government in the 1950s and 1960s. Phillips was a protege of General Edward Lansdale and was instrumental in the area of rural development during the American war in Vietnam. Phillips also offers his thought on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, based on this extensive work on these topics.
