General Note
In this interview Col. Michael 'Rip' Blaisdell describes his experiences as a fighter-bomber pilot and Forward Air Controller during the Vietnam War. During his first tour, Blaisdell flew F-100s out of Bien Hoa from January to May of 1967 and 0-1 Birdogs from June of 1967 until January of 1968. During a second tour in Southeast Asia, Blaisdell flew F-105 out of Takhli AFB in Thailand from July of 1969 to July of 1970. Later Blaisdell served as a member of the USAF Thunderbirds from November of 1971 to December of 1973.
