General Note: 2 Reviving the Dead Area, The war ended nearly 40 years ago but Quang Binh and Quang Tri Provinces and many other areas in Vietnam are still affected by the heavy consequences caused by bombs and mines left over from the war. As a result, many domestic and international organizations have carried out campaigns to detect and clear bombs and mines to revive the 'dead areas'.
