General Note
Visit to Di Linh, South Vietnam, November 1971. Their basic goal is to get the child in school- first convincing parents of the need and value of education- not only for children but for adults. (9 literacy classes for adults in different villages total 750 participants). The drive itself is planned, organized and conducted by 10 Montagnard teachers who devote two months each summer visiting some 14 different villages in the district, giving an excellent program of skits, lectures and songs, in a common meeting detailing the merits of education. In the afternoon, they divide into teams for house to house visitation.
