General Note: James Hendry and Nguyen Van Thuan write an extensive study of the Vietnamese Rural Community and their economic activity. They discus resources, population, production, agrarian production, marketing, non-agricultural activities, village expenditures and standard of living, credit and savings, and the functioning of the village economy. There is also a description of the methodology of the study, a sample survey, a family budget survey, and a sample village study questionnaire.
