- Jack Ryan of the Michigan State University Vietnam Advisory Group's Police Administration Division corresponds with the head of the division, Arthur Brandstatter, from November to December, 1955. The two discuss Ryan's travel to and arrival in Vietnam, communication problems with the division, reviews of Ryan's qualifications, Ryan's impressions of Vietnam, needs of the local police force, French-American relations, Ryan's reappointment, and the general progress of the division.
