- This document is a brief overview of the organization and activities of the American Community School in Saigon, set up by Americans as a place for American children to attend school while their parents were working in South Vietnam. The school offered schooling from first grade to high school level.Various Americans from Michigan State University were involved with this school during the 1956-1957 school year. These members included Wesley R. Fishel, Guy Fox, Homer Higbee, Robert C. McKeen, Albert A. Rosenfeld, Melville Sanderson, Ralph Smucker, and Frederic Wickert.
