- Jack Ryan of the Michigan State University Vietnam Advisory Group's Police Administration Division corresponds intermittently with the head of the division, Arthur Brandstatter, from September to December, 1959. They discuss personnel problems, Ryan's upcoming return to East Lansing, updates on family and the MSU campus, changes in administration within the Civil Guard and the VBI, personnel replacements in Vietnam, completion of the Vietnamese police training manual, and procurement of equipment.
