General Note: Deputy Advisor for the Michigan State University Vietnam Advisory Group's Police Administration Division Howard Hoyt and other MSUG personnel submit monthly reports to the Chief Advisor throughout August, 1956. The reports discuss general training courses and progress of units, ongoing studies and reviews, equipment and construction needs, recent conferences, Civil Guard administration and training, administration at the Vietnamese Bureau of Investigation, field trips and inspections, progress in the Identification Bureau and the fingerprint division, traffic reforms, visiting officials and personnel, and general administration.
