General Note: Michigan State University President John Hannah releases a statement following the publication of Ramparts magazine's recent article, "The University on the Make: How MSU helped arm Madame Nhu." The article was a 12-page illustrated release which, "...attacks the University's 7-year involvement in a technical assistance program in Viet Nam, from 1955-62." In the statement, Hannah discusses the University's role in public service programs and the specific charges leveled against MSU and their work with the CIA.
