- The United States Army Special Warfare School in Fort Bragg, North Caroline creates writes a report by the title, "Montagnard Tribal Groups of the Republic of Vietnam." The report seeks to provide information on various groups across Vietnam, "...for the use of military personnel and special advisors in the Republic of Viet-Nam." The report discusses the Bahnar, Cua, Hre, Jarai, Jeh, Katu, Koho, Mnong, Muong, Rhade, Raglai, Sedang,and Stieng.
