- A letter from Leland Barrows, Director of the United States Operations Mission to Vietnam, to MSU President John A. Hannah. Barrows writes to commend the Michigan State University Group (MSUG), and to single out the involvement in Vietnam of Ralph H. Smuckler as Chief Adviser to the MSUG. Barrows asks President Hannah to consider letting Smuckler stay in Vietnam for another year.
