General Note: Charles Mann, Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Vietnam, and Robert Lowe, Assistant Director to the USAID Mission in Vietnam, created this informational book in April 1966. The book provides descriptions of the Public Safety Program in Vietnam, and lists objectives, activities, and accomplishments of the Public Safety Office in 1966. The book was intended to benefit civilians and military advisors who wished to know more about the Vietnamese National Police, and the Office of Public Safety. Diagrams, photos, and an In Memoriam section honoring those Public Safety advisors who died in Vietnam, are included.
