- General Note
- Donald MacDonald, Minister Director to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), speaks to the Saigon Lions Club in an August 12, 1968 address. MacDonald expresses his pleasure in being among the members of the Lions Club again, and shares his encouragement in light of increases in food production, health care, the economy, and education in Vietnam since 1966. MacDonald cites a quote by U.S. President L.B. Johnson (who spoke at a conference in Hawaii in 1966) on these objectives.
