General Note: The first of a series of weekly reports on the status of the 1965 Summer Youth Program (SYP) in Vietnam. It is estimated that the SYP will not meet its original goals in student and youth participation, due to the novelty of the program. Government recognition of the program has increased by this time, but the most significant development in its intended success was the May 5-9 National Youth Seminar, in which 89 province representatives took part in discussions and work camp.
