- General Note
- Richard Critchfield, Asian Correspondent for the Washington Star, writes on the increase in U.S. assistance to South Vietnam. In addition to the 600 civilian administrators currently providing aid in South Vietnam, 180-200 additional administrators would be arriving to assist. Critchfield comments that one of the tasks the new recruits face is to convince peasants that they are better off in a non-Communist society.
