General Note
While at a luncheon with the mayor New York at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, President Ngo Dinh Diem made an address. This was to be released to all media at 1:00 P.M., Monday, May 13, 1957. The address was in regards to the prosperity of economic developments in South Vietnam. His address made connections between the impressive super structures of New York City to Vietnam and related early immigrants of the United States to the refugees of North Vietnam coming to South Vietnam.
