General Note / OCR

An image from Wesley Fishel's photograph collection of a business selling a plethora of plastic wares. The label on the bottom of the photograph reads, "Widespread use of plastics did not begin in Vietnam until seven years ago, but today it is a booming industry producing a vast array of colorful, cheap, light-weight, long-lasting articles. This vendor's stall in Saigon sells pans, sieves, baskets, water jugs, and many other products. (TCB-099 Photo One, September 1971.)"
