General Note: Ph.D. training participant Nguyen Duy Xuan corresponds with Administrative Assistant for the Participant Training Program Elsie Cunningham from January to February, 1959. They discuss book orders and allowance, Xuan's recent visit with Kim Chau, per diem check payments, travel reimbursements, Xuan's preliminary examinations, his concerns over having too many courses and not completing his work satisfactorily, Xuan's course schedule, and the probable need for a study extension.
