- Faculty associated with the Vietnam Project Participant Training Program correspond from July to December, 1958 to arrange the visit of the second group of police leadership training participants. They correspond with group leaders to arrange schedules and travel, and to discuss individual concerns, completion of travel documents and forms, funding, and the proposed program. The conversation turns following a brief report from Ralph Smuckler about a raid near Saigon. The program is cancelled but then renewed for later in the year.
