General Note / OCR

Built to help heal a nation still torn by the Vietnam War, the hauntingly powerful Vietnam Veterans Memorial pays tribute to all who served in that war. This stirring 30-minute video chronicles the memorial's history, interprets its symbolic meaning and, through letters and photographs left at The Wall, tells how families, comrades, friends, and the nation have remembered their honored dead and missing of America's longest war.

A special message by Bob Hope introduces the "In Touch" project, created by the Friends of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, to help people who knew someone lost in Vietnam get in touch with others who knew him or her.

Produced in consultation with the Friends of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Portions of the proceeds from the sale of this program are being donated to the Friends of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, and other veterans organizations.

Title song, All the Unsung Heroes, lyrics and music by Lane Brody. Guitar instrumentals by Thom Bresh.
