Condition/Physical Description

1965 Half Dollar coin. Coin is silver in color. Text of “Liberty” wrapped around the top of the coin. The bottom has “1965” in text. The center is a side facing portrait of John F. Kennedy facing the left with the text “In God We Trust” split on each side. The back side of the coin has the text “United States of America” across the top and “Half Dollar” on the bottom. The center is an image of an eagle as a representative of the United States of America. Coin is approximately 1 ¼ inches in diameter.

General Note / OCR

1965 was the year that Dick Detra graduated from South High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was drafted in November of 1966.
