General Note: Current challenge coin for “Spiders”. Coin is shaped like a coffin. Front is black with gold text and images. The text “Spiders” is at the top. Beneath that is an image of a spider on a web. Beneath the spider is the text “Alpha 4-3AHB 188th AHC Est 1968”. The back of the coin is black and has an image of the insignia of the rank of Captain on the top left. There is an image of a spider at the center of the top. To the right at the top is an image of the insignia of the rank of First Sergeant. Beneath these images are the text “Spiders for life”. Beneath that text is an image of a UH-60 “Blackhawk”. To the left and right of the image of the helicopter are different versions of the “Spiders” unit patches over history. Beneath the image of the helicopter is an image of the unit insignia for the 1st Aviation Brigade with an image of the insignia for the 4th Battalion 3rd Aviation Regiment “Marne Assault” to the right. Beneath the unit insignias is the text “Guns Up”. Beneath the text are current unit patches for the “Spiders” to the left and right. Beneath that is an image of a spider on a web. Coin measures approximately 2 x 1 3/8 x 1/8 inches.
