General Note
Side A This is a audio letter from Elza Miller to Sandra Miller. He starts out by saying that he wants to keep some of the tapes to listen to in the future. He says that he got a fancy pipe for Christmas from his friends back home. He will try not to open other presents before Christmas. He recently got a smallpox vaccine and had some minor irritation afterwards. He is very happy that the new milk plant is in production. He comments that the ice cream isn't quite right. The company also gets filtered water from the plant because it's much better than the chlorinated local water. He makes some racist comments concerning the Vietnamese being trained at the milk plant in comparisons to African Americans. Side B This is an audio letter from Elza Miller to Sandra Miller. He states that he has a lot of sexual desire for his wife and is looking forward to being with her in Hawaii. He says that other soldiers have been teasing him about getting such a good-looking wife. His bunkmate is studying English through correspondence courses and Elsa says that he's reading a book on physics but doubts that he would take that or chemistry through correspondence courses. He says that he feels that the baby is bringing them closer together and that he loves Sandy very much.
