General Note
This CD-ROM has the audio recording of an attack on the Soc Trang airbase during the 1968 Tet Offensive. As the audio plays there are photographs of the attack and its aftermath that rotate througout the recording. During the recording you can hear an air raid siren, gun shots, bombs, and someone talking.

The audio was recorded by an unknown U.S. Army enlisted soldier at Soc Trang airfield. The soldier unintentionally recorded the attack while attempting to send a message home, he left the recorder left running during part of the attack. The audiotape was copied and preserved by CSM (Ret) James L. Smith. The photos were taken by Wilber N. Curtis, USN Captain (Ret), Leslie J. Horn, Tim McCullough, and Dale R. Stith.
