- The scrapbook depicts CW2 Bob Cormack’s Vietnam War experience as a helicopter pilot. The material in the scrapbook holds information, documents and photographs depicting the 351st Aviation Company at Wertheim, Germany, 1969-1972, mostly the Peden Barracks territory from different perspectives. The photographs include different parts of Germany: Wertheim City, Wertheim Castle, Watch Tower in the Main River, Nuremberg Red Light District, Nuremberg building, Marienberg Castle, Neuschwanstein Castle, EDOF Wertheim Airfield at Peden Barracks. Also, included are photographs of CW2 Bob Cormack on his R&R trips in France and Thailand, as well as different aerial and base shots of Vietnam: Phu Bai, Highway 1 North of Da Nang, LZ Sally, etc. In addition, there are photographs of Lt. Kathleen Weber with Bobby Cormack, as well as their wedding invitation.
The photographs depict helicopters, CW2 Bob Cormack with a OH-58A, Hohenfels Army Airforce Base, 351st Aviation Company during field exercises at Kuhlsheim, and aerial shots of Peden Barracks. There are also images of various badges produced by the 351st Aviation Company, a printout of the U.S. national anthem, CW2 Bob Cormack in Paris, France at the base of the Eiffel Tower, a U.S. Army Badge, The Deans 120th Aviation Company’s aerial shots of Vietnam, Tay Ninh City, log trucks south of Loc Ninh (poachers), Long Binh Outhouses, Sanford Army Airfield, Long Binh, CW2 Bob Cormack with a 37mm AA gun at LZ Sally, the Mekong River, Saigon, Bao Loc Vietnam Hill Country, Vung Tau, Vung Tau market, a Cyclo-Pedi-Cab, Can Tho, and Xuan Loc. There are also photographs showing different types of helicopters that have flown at Da Nang.
The scrapbook also contains the following orders from the Department of the Army: General Orders with a patch – The Distinguished Flying Cross (II Oak Leaf Cluster), Special Orders, Unit Orders, and a Degree Order for the Authorization for the Individual Foreign Award for CW2 Bobby Cormack. There are also other patches of the 351st Aviation Company, along with images of the American, South Vietnamese, and German flags, clippings regarding CW2 Bob Cormack, and a sketch of a helicopter.
The scrapbook has a blue cover with a symbol of a yellow eagle holding two arrows with its claws. It measures 12.25 inches x 13.5 inches.
