In this “Tet ‘68” issue we will look at the situation leading up to the Viet Cong/North Vietnamese offensive that began on 30 January and swept across all of South Vietnam’s forty-four provinces, bringing the war home to Saigon, Hue and all the population centers. We look at the reactions of the American military and the Americans back home on the other side of the world but as close as the television camera. The U.S. Army and the U.S. Marines: where each unit was at the time of Tet, where each unit fought, the big battles, the not-so-big and more.
