Biographical / Historical
Daniel E. Wark was born on January 2, 1947 in Pasadena, California. He graduated from Corona del Mar High School in Newport Beach, California in 1965 and then moved to Honolulu to attend the University of Hawaii. Wark joined the U.S. Army in 1967 and was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. He began his tour of duty in Vietnam in May 1968 and was killed on August 21, 1968 while on patrol with Company A, 2-506th Infantry.
