Biographical / Historical

In 1969 Stever Vermillion served as an aircraft commander of an unarmed Dustoff helicopter in Vietnam. During his year-long tour in Vietnam, Vermillion flew over 1100 combat hours. Vermillion's citations include the Silver Star, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and 30 Air Medals. Following his return from Vietnam Vermillion was commissioned as a First Lieutenant. Vermillion continued to serve in the Army until 1993, when he retired as a Lt. Colonel.
