Biographical / Historical
Ivan D. Dalton was born on 12 December 1936 in Stuben Township, Illinois (Marshall County). In 1955, Dalton volunteered for the United States Army and in August 1966, he toured Southeast Asia and was assigned to the 12th Evacuation Hospital in Cu Chi. Ivan Dalton had one tour of duty in Southeast Asia as an Advance Medical Specialist 91C20 (Specialist 6 (E6)). In 1976, Dalton retired as a Sergeant First Class and worked for the Fort Lyons VA Hospital, the Pueblo Army Depot as a security guard/warehouse worker/forklift operator in Ammo Sec. and General Supply, and as a preservation/packer leader for the general supply department of Pueblo Co. Dalton is also a member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars).
