Essays, maps, notes, plaques, and a article document Colonel James M. Hall, Jr.'s time with Task Force Alpha in Thailand from November 1968 to December 1969 and with the 7th Airborne Command and Control Center (7th ABCCC) in Thailand from 1971 to 1972.
Biographical / Historical
James Hall was born on 8 April 1919 in Texas where he lived until he was drafted into the Army in November of 1940. Following basic training Hall was assigned to the 15th Field Artillery Battalion until he was accepted into the Aviation Cadet Program in 1942. Following his flight training, Hall was an instructor in B-24s, later being assigned to the 19th Bomb Group flying 35 missions over Japan in B-29s. Following the war, Hall was discharged, only to be recalled in 1950 being assigned to the Air Force Special Weapons Center.

Colonel Hall was based in Thailand during his 2 tours in Southeast Asia. The first tour was November 1968 through 1969 as Director of Operations for Task Force Alpha. The second was from September 1971 to 1972, when he served as an orbit commander with the Seventh Airborne Command and Control Center.
