Biographical / Historical
Philip Wilbanks was born in Lubbock, Texas on 19 June 1942. He was a volunteer in the United States Navy from 1959-1963 and 1967-1969. He was a Radioman, 3rd Class aboard the aircraft carrier USS HORNET (CV-12) from 1967-1969 and was discharged from the Navy in 1969 with the rank of Petty Officer, Third Class.
