Biographical / Historical
Jonathan Duchette was born in 1942 in Lewiston, Maine. In 1964, Duchette was drafted and served in active duty until 1966 and then served as an inactive reservist until 1970 for a total of one year and eleven months. Nine and a half months of his service was spent in Southeast Asia, serving with the 129th Aviation Company at Cam Ranh Bay, 'the strike and bite home of the COBRA's. He was a Specialist 4 and held the position of a firefighter. In 1970, he was discharged and went to work for Southworth Machine Company as a mechinist and welder and joined the American Legion.
