Biographical / Historical
Captain Ron George, USAF, graduated from East Texas State University and commissioned a second lieutenant in 1965. Captain George flew KC-135s with Strategic Air Command including temporary duty at Alaska, Greenland, Newfoundland, Okinawa and Southeast Asia. While in Southeast Asia George witnessed the Tet Offensive and the Pueblo incident. George left the Air Force in 1970, after receiving the Air Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. George now is a biologist in Texas.
